Boy, trying to avoid bedtime, calls 911

3News NZ

Police in Massachusetts say a 10-year-old boy called 911 because he didn't want to go to bed.

Brockton police say the boy made the emergency call just after 8pm Wednesday and told the dispatcher he was calling to report his mother because he did not want to go to bed.

There was no emergency.

The Enterprise reports that according to the police log, an officer went to the boy's home and explained to him when it's appropriate - and when it's not - to call 911.

No one was charged.

Who educated the kid to react in such a way? How dare a child do such a thing

That sounds like a sound response, and good to see an officer actually took the time to respond. In NZ I doubt we'd get anyone turning up (maybe a bill) and in other parts of America it seems tasering is the standard SOP for this sort of thing.

There we go. Proof that kids these days are able to, or think they are able to call the police on their parents for anything. Parents have almost no rights these days. Thanks very much PC idiots. Look what you have bred.
