The Breakers now have 12 wins from 13 at home in this season's ANBL after an 81-70 victory over Townsville.

The Crocs closed the game up in the late stages but in the end the Breakers turned to their go-to-guy to get them home when with a slim two point lead and two-and-a-half minutes on the clock Tom Abercrombie landed a three pointer to seal the game up.

The 81-70 victory should have been far more comfortable after the Breakers rushed to a 29-15 lead at quarter time but the offense stagnated in the second and third periods causing alarm on the Breakers bench.

The reigning champions held off the Townsville comeback thanks to Abercrombie and the work off the bench from veteran Dillon Boucher, whose offensive rebounding and pin point passing kept the Crocs at bay.

The Breakers will hope Boucher and Abercrombie keep up their game winning form deep into the playoffs.
