Breakers sign Hudson from Blaze

Gold Coast Blaze power forward Will Hudson has signed with the New Zealand Breakers for the upcoming NBL season.
Breakers coach Andrej Lemanis says the 2.06m Hudson is a welcome addition to the roster, bringing more options and depth in the forward rotation.
Lemanis says Hudson's work ethic, rebounding and defensive skills are impressive and the 23-year-old has shown a real ability to play as part of a team.
"He's still young and we believe he'll continue to grow and improve - he's a good pick up for us," says Lemanis.
US-born Hudson is one of the league's leading offensive rebounders and a renowned team player, something Lemanis says has been key to the recent success of the two-time NBL championship-winning Breakers.
He's also a threat on attack, particularly under the basket, contributing 9.5 points per game for the Blaze.
Hudson's signing leaves just two spots open on the Breakers' roster and announcements are expected over the next few weeks for an import point guard and a local guard.
