The New Zealand Breakers bounced back from a slow start to whip the Melbourne Tigers 91-77 at home last night.

When the score was all locked up at 21-all after the first quarter, alarm bells didn’t sound within the Breakers’ camp and instead the team pulled together to surge away from the tigers.

Cedric Jackson was probably the star of the show with 10 points, 12 assists and five rebounds.

Gary Wilkinson collected a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds; Mika Vukono sunk 12 points and got seven rebounds, Alex Pledger added 12 points while Thomas Abercrombie scored 13 points.

The Breakers had a 20 point lead by the time three quarter time was over .

The Breakers now have a week off before they host the Sydney Kings.
