The trial of three former directors of failed finance company Bridgecorp is to resume in the High Court in Auckland today.

Rod Petricevic, Robert Roest and Peter Steigrad have been charged with allegedly misleading investors in Bridgecorp offer documents.

Petricevic and Roest also face charges over alleged false statements in prospectus extension certificates and director certificates.

The charges were laid after Bridgecorp collapsed in July 2007, owing $459 million to 14,500 investors.

The trial, which started in October, was adjourned in December after Stiegrad's lawyer became ill and required a stay in hospital.

It had previously been delayed four times following legal representation and legal aid issues.

Two other Bridgecorp directors have admitted charges against them.
