As someone who travels BA 4 or 5 times a year for social reasons chooses to travel BA for loyalty reasons, I am appalled that UNITE and those cabin staff who propose striking cannot see the economic realities of the situation. BA already struggling because of the downturn in the global economy, the effects of the last strike and the volcanic ash and the competition from cheaper airlines needs both to reduce costs and to increase revenue. The latter will become increasingly difficult because passengers will look at alternative airlines for their travel. UNITE and its members seem intent on digging their own grave and I hope that common sense will prevail for BA to survive and to keep regular passengers like myself.

Willie better wake up and remove his thumb from where the sun don't shine. These strike actions will reduce BA to a regional carrier rather than an international giant. After all it is the people that make up the company and not the machines. GO the crew.
