UK scarecrow aims to come to NZ

Jamie Fox has a very boring job but it is all for a good cause.
Jamie walks up and down the fields of an English farm flapping his arms and playing musical instruments.
Jamie's long term aim is to earn enough money to buy an airline ticket to New Zealand, and to get that, he needs to achieve his short term aim, which is to frighten birds off the Norfolk farmer's crops.
Jamie is a living, breathing human scarecrow and his degree in music has turned out to be useful in a way his professors could never have imagined.

Good on him and at least he is outside and doing exercise. As for your Scarecrow examples, The Wizard Of Oz is a fairy. Patrick McGoohan as Dr Syn The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh is the real deal!

Doing an job for lousy pay that you don't want to do just to get money is exactly the model of economic slavery desires.
