Officials empty boxes of election voting papers (Reuters)

Voters in Britain have gone to the polls today, to decide whether they want to change their voting system from First Past the Post (FPP) to the Alternative Vote.

In New Zealand we call it the Preferential vote system. Kiwis will get a chance to decide whether they want to adopt it in a referendum later this year.
