The Business Council for Sustainable Development's poll of over 2000 people has found many disagree with the decision to axe superannuation fund contributions.
It also found a majority believe it will lead to lower superannuation payments.
Labour leader Phil Goff is worried that 43 percent of people think the Budget will increase unemployment, saying New Zealanders were looking for it to create jobs. Only 13 percent thought it would increase employment.
Far more thought they would be worse off as a result, 28 percent, than better off – 5 percent.
Also, 63 percent consider National's tax cut cancellation a broken election promise.
