The Bulls have gone back-to-back in the Super 14, defending their title with a 25-17 win over the Stormers in Soweto.
Once again it was the boot of first five Morne Steyn who helped the Bulls to victory.
The Australasian shut out of the Super 14 showpiece was music to the ears of South African rugby fans.
The Bulls maintained the set piece dominance that made them the team to beat all season – allowing Springbok Morne Steyn to start building a lead they'd never relinquish.
The Stormers had their chances in the first half – a scrambling Schalk Berger was denied the opening try by the TMO.
But there was no questioning the class of Francois Hougaard – busting through to hammer home the Bulls advantage.
The Bulls were in control at halftime 16-3.
Former Bull Brian Habana combined his inside knowledge of the opposition and uncanny intercept ability to give the Stormers a sniff at 16-10.
But their quest for their first Super 14 title was undone by some silly penalties – and Steyn was up to the task – booting 20 of his sides 25 points.
The Bulls pounded the Stormers into submission with a 25-17 victory – confirming their recent stranglehold on the Super 14 with their third title in the past four years.
