No, but in 1996, I used to walk along the railway lines, behind Lynmall, where I used to live on Arran St in Avondale, all the time, without fail, just simply as a short-cut, to get to New Lynn. I just about literally got mowed down by an on coming train, one Sunday morning, while crossing the bridge, before Godley Rd, New Lynn, when suddenly leaping out the way of one. Before they barricaded Henderson Train Station, with the now tall wire gates/fences, kids walked along and across those lines all the time, despite the overhead walk over brdge. Was just crazy, mindless, senseless secenes of watching car drivers risk all, for such a precious few short minutes.
