A year and a half after Christchurch’s deadly earthquake the CTV building's property manager still questions what he could have done differently to help avoid the collapse.
John Drew has told the Canterbury Earthquakes Royal Commission that he was waiting for repairs to be done after the initial September quake, when the building collapsed in February last year, killing 115 people.
“Since February 22nd I have felt a huge sense of responsibility and I am forever questioning what might have been done differently.”
Today the inquiry will hear evidence about assessments done to the building after the boxing day aftershock.
