The latest Call of Duty: Black Ops II trailer is a star-powered live-action short directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr, Omar Sy and Zach Steel.
The promo clip, titled ‘Surprise’, is set in Los Angeles 2025 and also features YouTube weapons guru FPSRussia and internet sensation iJustine.
AC/DC’s ‘Back in Black’ plays as the characters in the trailer use weapons to attack each other. The trailer ends with a zombie horde attack.
It’s not the first time Activision has used celebrities in a Call of Duty trailer – previous iterations have featured the likes of Kobe Bryant, Sam Worthington, Jonah Hill, Rob Riggle and Jimmy Kimmel.
Set in the year 2025, Black Ops II puts players into a global conflict featuring advanced weaponry, robotics, and drone warfare in a new Cold War scenario. It aims to deliver the most groundbreaking and visceral Call of Duty experience yet.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II is released in New Zealand November 13 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
