Robert Kennedy

Robert Kennedy

Robert Kennedy Jnr's father was Bobby Kennedy, his uncles John F Kennedy and Ted Kennedy.

It is the most famous surname in American politics.

Kennedy uses that - he's a hard-hitting environmental lawyer named a "hero for the planet" by Time magazine.

He is here to help former Prime Minister Mike Moore raise funds for Global Partnerships Through Schools.

Kennedy's point is simple -  when the exhaust pipe on your car is rigorously tested, why can major industries pollute the environment with no economic cost?

He insists it is time for America, and the world, to make big polluters pay.

Campbell Live spoke to him about global warming and the Copenhagen conference.

This guy is amazing and deserves to be much more widely heard - have E mailed the link to scores of friends. This is the sort of stuff we never normally get to hear. Well done John Campbell. You may have to cater to the reptilian side (Tiger Woods etc) from time to time given the profit driven side of all modern media but at least you slip in great interviews. You're amazing and I'm bloody grateful you're there! Cheers Jim

Tonight's Kennedy interview was much more like it. We've enjoyed Campbell live for several years though of recent months noticed a perceptible slide for the worse(Tiger woods carry on last week et al) and had stopped watching though did happen to catch this interview. How about more on the lapsed integrity and objectivity of today's mainstream medaia, as raised by kennedy, or would this be too close to the bone TV3?

Kind regards and thanks,
Regan.
