I fight the green movement on all fronts .

The Hemp plant IS the Pot plant , they are one of the same .

You can not have one without the other .

Billions of dollars wasted on prohibition can bankrupt any
small country and in given time even large countries .

Because we run a deficit government , everything Canada and other
Countries do is put on our credit cards , the National Dept .

The 9 billion dollars Harper ( here in Canada ) wants to spend on new
jails ,on basically victimless crimes , Gambling ,Prostitution
and drugs .
These jails will be basically filled with pot heads .

.

The drug war kills millions of ppl around the world every year .
Look at South America . Its full military now with no sigh of
getting better .
Drug wars are now used to justify the takeover of other countries .

The list of prohibited plants is long now .They have all been
taking over by big business , legal and illegal .

Food , Fibber , Fuel , Pharmaceuticals and fun all from one plant .

Big industry owns and controls all of these entities now .
Big industry owns and controls the government and the press .

Get wise and Legalise , and stop the insanity .

As a licensed medical marjiuana patient in Washington State, and as a former hippie from back in the days of Abbie Hoffman and such, I think the street theater value of this is tremendous. I just hope for everyone's sake that the weed was crummy male ditch-weed, and not primo bud. :o)

You can not lock up the community, but you can always sell another keg of alcohol or another cigarette and tax the merry go round. Something it seems you can’t do for the cannabis market. One day the only thing they’ll be tipping into the police station will be an empty shopping cart. At least let’s hope so… http://scallywagandvagabond.com/2010/11/a-cart-of-burning-cannabis-ends-up-in-a-nz-police-station/

The incident at the police station was NOT part of the Armistice tour. It was independently organised by Al Mansell, Wellington activist and mayoral candidate, to celebrate his birthday. Correction and apology required, TV3 - and next time, make some effort to get the facts right.

@Keith: you should probably figure out where you stand in this "drug war" in that case. There are people who take a stand against laws that oppress and destroy lives, why aren't you one of those people? Are you that complacent and docile that you'll let your government take a right off you; by a law that shouldn't have been passed in the first place? Screw the right wing, screw financial investers, and screw the police that can't stand up and realise they're being used as a tool for financial gain and injustice when their job description is to keep the peace and protect the people. The only people they're protecting by upholding laws like this are the rich men hiding behind their lawyers and raking in huge profits just because their fathers twisted the arms of the judicial system to get what they wanted. Cannabis prohibition - there's at least 5 industries I can think of that would be overturned and improved by the use of cannabis and hemp products. /rant
