A spree of car tipping "madness" overnight has Palmerston North police baffled.
Five cars over a distance of 10km were found upside down, a phenomenon police say they haven't seen before.
"It's all round town," a police spokesperson told NZPA. "It's bloody madness."
None of the cars appeared to have been robbed.
It's a bunch of idiots, I'd say," the spokesperson added.
