Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen has announced she is coming to New Zealand next month.
The ‘Call Me Maybe’ hitmaker will spend two days in the country, making several promotional appearances.
Having impressed Justin Bieber, who first heard the song on Canadian radio while holidaying in his home country, Jepsen found herself on a rollercoaster ride of success thanks to the backing of Bieber and his team.
“I feel as an artist I have a responsibility to pay it forward,” says Bieber.
“When I was home in Canada I heard Carly and I became a fan and felt like I could help her the way Usher helped me. The good news is that she is a superstar".
Jepsen’s hit ‘Call Me Maybe’ is currently number one on the New Zealand Top 40 chart.
Jepsen will be in New Zealand from May 5 – 7. While no concerts have been announced, she is expected to take part in several media and fan events.
