Carrie Bickmore talks about cancer
Fri, 19 Oct 2012 10:18p.m.
Australian broadcaster Carrie Bickmore knows about cancer, having lost her husband to the disease last year.
Although his cancer wasn't preventable, others - like skin cancers, are.
It is an important message, particularly for those of us who live in the Southern Hemisphere.
And to hammer it home, Carrie had her photo taken with a UV filter to show just how damaged her face has become over 31 years.
It is not the most flattering photo, but it's not supposed to be.
