The image of Sue Spigal trapped in the Cathedral has been broadcast around the world.

She's a resident artist at the Cathedral, a quilt-maker and textile artist, and she was working in an isolated room making a cope for the Dean of Auckland when the quake hit.

Many have pondered her fate. What happened to her? Was she rescued? Did she survive?

Well, she did. And today Nightline tracked her down, and while she's battered and bruised, she's very much alive.
