Yesterday, when cameraman Christie Douglas and presenter John Campbell were shooting a story in Dallington, they saw a group of people standing on a corner, roaring with laughter.
It turned out they were the residents of a tiny cul-de-sac called Arnst Place.
They have been neighbours, together, side by side, for between 22 and 50 years.
They know their street is probably doomed, and they know that sometime soon they won't be neighbours any more.
So, they care for each other, they laugh with each other, and whenever a big earthquake strikes, they meet in the house at the end of Arnst Place, and they have a glass of rum.
