They booed him, but Charlie Sheen could be laughing all the way to the bank.
The live show based on his now infamous Hollywood meltdown could net the unemployed star an estimated US$7 million.
Despite terrible reviews for his first performance, a bit of tweaking appears to have got the show back on the road.
It’s dubbed the “violent torpedo of truth tour” and defeat, the title said, was not an option.
Flanked by his two girlfriends Sheen took to the stage, promising an evening of revelations.
“I tell you some shit you didn’t hear on 20/20, I’ll give you some shit you didn’t hear on Good Morning America,” he said.
It turned out, Sheen was a man of his word.
“Everyone is leaving, that is impossible. Okay, lets forget the crack stories, let’s move the show along. Anyone that’s yelling ‘loser’ or this or that, let’s identify one thing – I have an app, it’s called The Machine,” he said.
The fact Sheen has an app cut little ice with the crowd, as many continued to walk out.
Others stayed till the end, only to boo him from the stage.
Though Detroit was a bust, Sheen is back on form with a radically different show in Chicago.
Asked why he paid for sex, Sheen said it’s because he’s run out of things to buy.
