Emails come in to Campbell Live daily, complaining about EQCs management of contents payouts.

So Campbell Live took its caravan of comment to the streets of Christchurch to find out how people are feeling about the EQC.

EQC Claims Manager Gail Kettle then responds to Cantabrian’s concerns.

I put my contents claim, with all the correct paperwork and photo's, into ECQ not long after the Sept earthquake. I was told it had been accepted and I would be paid. I had to put another claim in after the Feb quake for more contents that had broken. I called ECQ on numerous occasions to ask when I was going to get paid. I have finally been told that I will not get paid for any contents claim until the wrecker ball has been put though my house and the house demolition has started. Yes, my house also got wrecked in the Sept earthquake. I found out today that my house will not be rebuilt now and not in the forseeable future as the re insurers will not insure any rebuilds until the siesmic activity lessons. So I guess I'll not get my contents money until then... not fair.

Its bad enough the after shocks but now we are dealing with man made stress. You would think in an election year we would see more presure on EQC to get their act togother.
