Campbell Live comes to you tonight from an awning attached to a caravan behind a broken home in Christchurch.

The backyard is covered in deep snow - 30 to 40cm deep in parts - packed powder, and not that well groomed.

Meet the brave souls who have now been camping out and making do for seven long - and now freezing - months.

While it was still daylight Jendy Harper took a walk around this property with the owners Bruce and Maree.

John it is good to see you wading in for the Bexley residents but quite frankly I am getting a little tired of hearing about them - at least they know where they are heading. As you know residents of the orange zone in Christchurch and Kaiapoi are still waiting to hear what their future holds. If you want to plead a case for a resident of Kaiapoi living in a caravan I can direct you to them.
