It’s a TradeMe auction with a difference – a Lower Hutt woman is selling advertising space on her buttocks.
In the auction, listed as “YOUR Tattoo on my bum”, seller Tina is auctioning off a 9cm by 9cm space on “one cheek – either the right or the left”.
She has not uploaded a picture of the rear end real estate, saying she wishes to keep the auction "PG-rated".
The buyer selects the tattoo design and, if they wish, can be present during the tattooing process. Tina will also send the buyer a framed photograph of the finished product.
She has listed some ideas for prospective buyers – business promotion, an artist wanting to share their design, or even a marriage proposal.
However, romantics may be disappointed; Tina says in the comments section that she won’t get the response to the proposal tattooed on the other cheek.
Several potential buyers have left questions on the auction including one asking, “If this sells, do you intend to pay your share in the phone/net bill?”
Twenty percent of the final sale price will go to a charity of the buyer’s choice, with Tina keeping the remaining 80 percent.
"I deserve it, I have been made redundant TWICE
over the past year," she says on the auction page.
At the time of writing, the current bid was $1,510. The auction closes at 5pm tomorrow.
