British pop star Cheryl Cole has broken records with her new song ‘Call My Name’ - it's debuted atop the UK singles chart asthe fastest-selling track of the year.
The beauty teamed up with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris for the dance single, which sold a whopping 152,000 copies in just seven days.
‘Call My Name’ replaces Gary Barlow and his Commonwealth Band at number one - their tune ‘Sing’, released in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee, falls to three, behind ‘Whistle’ by rapper Flo Rida.
However, Barlow, who will be awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) medal in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, still has something to celebrate - his compilation album, also named Sing, remains in first place on the UK albums chart for a third consecutive week.
Scottish singer Amy MacDonald is new at two with Life In A Beautiful Light, while R&B superstar Usher enters at three with Looking 4 Myself.
