Chinese mother's anguish after forced abortion

A Chinese mother forced to have an abortion after seven months of pregnancy has told of her anguish at losing her child and the brutality of her treatment in hospital.

From the city of Zhenping is a victim of China's controversial one child policy.

Forced abortions are illegal there, but officials acted after the family failed to pay a fine of $8000.

Werid... I didnt thought the one child policy was that enforced... I have around 6+ aunts and uncles that lived in China during their childhood around the 60s to the 90s before coming over to NZ. Thats way above the one child policy.
