Hong-Lin Yu denies murdering Kiko

A Chinese student goes on trial in Auckland today for the murder of teenager Jia-Yee Lee.

The youngster, also known as Kiko, was found in the boot of her car in Hamilton in June last year after she was stabbed to death.

Hong-Lin Yu denies murdering her.

Earlier this year, his friend Yung-Shin Lee changed his plea to guilty and was jailed for at least 16 years.

The motive for the killing was money.
