Dunedin’s 10th chocolate carnival has been celebrated with a double candy race down the world’s steepest street.
A total 25,000 giant red Jaffas were released from the top of Baldwin Street.
The individually numbered sweets raced down the hill, with the first to the bottom taking just 40 seconds.
Minutes later, a second batch of special purple giant Jaffas were rolled down the street.
Prizes were awarded for the winning Jaffas, with the event raising over $50,000 for charity.
