Christchurch murder accused named

Name suppression has lapsed for the man accused of murdering 65-year-old Christchurch man Kenneth John Moore.

He is Christopher Glenn Gleeson, a 25-year-old manager of Upper Riccarton, who appeared in Christchurch District Court on Monday, the Christchurch Court News website reports.

Gleeson is charged with murdering Mr Moore at a house in the suburb of Waltham on January 6.

Gleeson will be kept in custody until his next appearance on February 13.

He has not yet entered a plea.
