A Christchurch based website dedicated to dead people has just celebrated its 1st birthday, and its one millionth view.

The site amemorytree.co.nz says that it lists 99 percent of deaths in New Zealand, and it's also is a place for the bereft to leave messages of remembrance.

You can even light a virtual candle, or send virtual flowers, kind of like Facebook for the afterlife.

The woman behind the website, Sue Skeet spoke to Sunrise.
