Actor Christian Bale has announced the upcoming Batman movie will be his last as the caped crusader.
The Dark Knight Rises will be the third and final for Bale and director Christopher Nolan who brought critical and commercial respectability back to the franchise after it hit a low in the mid 90s.
The Dark Knight Rises will not be released until midway through next year but audiences will get a taste of it in coming days when a trailer for the film plays before the latest Mission Impossible movie.
