Cindy Crawford is scared of Botox and plastic surgery.

The supermodel admits having the skin-smoothing injections in the past, but wasn’t happy with the results. The 44-year-old understands why so many women go to drastic lengths to keep their fresh-faced appearance, but isn’t sure she could ever go under the surgeon’s knife.

Cindy worries she wouldn’t look like herself anymore, but would never tell women not to have procedures.

“I think I'm holding up pretty well,” she told Ladies Home Journal magazine. “When I was 30 I might have said, 'I'm just going to age in a way that honours time and is completely natural,' but I'm no longer so highbrow about it.

“I've tried Botox but it scares me. Plastic surgery is really scary, but as long as you don't use these things to change your face, I think it's OK.”

Cindy has two kids with her husband Rande Gerber, and admits carrying children has taken a toll on her body. She is happy with her figure though, saying it would be strange if she looked the same as she did in her heyday.

She keeps trim by working out at the gym three times a week, but is keen to point out her body isn’t perfect.

“If I put on a few pounds it goes straight to my butt," she laughed. "I'm sexy but I'm not intimidating. I do have cellulite.”
