The decision to ban indefinitely a convicted finance company boss from working in consumer finance is being described as an important milestone.
Earlier this year, National Finance director Trevor Ludlow was sentenced to six years for defrauding investors of more than $3million.
In the North Shore District Court today, he became the first person to be banned from having any dealings in consumer finance.
However, Stephen Layburn from the Law Society, says that may not comfort the people he's already defrauded.
