Fressure Foods chief executive Vern Dark

Extending the shelf life of avocados will be at the core of Fressure Foods' business.

The company is trying to raise money to fund a new processing plant in Pukekohe.

The plant will use ultra high-pressure technology which can double the life of avocados and boost exports by up to $20 million.
