What a shame that Laura choose such a negative angle on the real positive news that a well designed and planned house can be built for $168,000. Rather than just bag this positive approach I wonder what her alternative approach would be? Cheep rentable apartments in high rise buildings like in housing estates in Hungary or England. I would have to assume that she hasn’t experienced this type of housing.
The prospect of simple, well design modular housing constructed from good sustainable materials with the opportunity for the average kiwi to get involved and even make it more affordable by assisting with the building just has to be positive for anyone’s mind and body. Congratulations to Stephen Smith, from S3 Architects for a great entry.
