Concern over Chch zoning

He is right, what they have done it right. They can't look at each property, nothing would get done. They are looking at the bigger picture. Individuals are looking at just there own. It's like having your house painted, if you stood there with painter telling him which areas need painting and which don't it would take forever, you just get the whole house painted. At end of the day with any luck for those who are clearly in wrong zone there will be time and resources for them to be reviewed and zone altered.

You may not know that the church is classed as commercial and therefore the church has to pay for the repair not EQC. If we are in the green zone, which we are, then we would like to use the insurance money to start building again to work in the community but we are unable to since CERA has not told us what needs to be done to repair and how much it is going to cost and who is going to pay. It could end up with all the properties around the church being repaired because they are residential but not the church. Your view and help in this would also be appreciated. Many thanks.
