Man i'm pleased I got rid of my car (yes, I can still drive though). We need more money on public tranport and a REAL alternive to oil (not some bio-fuel gimmick). How ever NO PARTY BUT THE GREENS is keen on this.

Stuff oil and stuff bio-fuel.What about the car that runs on compressed air! Does anyone remember the fibre-glass cars that had the air forcing the pistons and they had a strange spluttering noise.A French company was going to do a deal with a South Island company to produce these cars for this part of the world. These cars were trialled in South America. But I have a sneaky suspicion that maybe the oil companies may have had a hand in the demise of this car.Our children`s children are really going to hate us...

At last some smart comments! Glad some others realized its not even bio-fuel!! It's not even HALF bio fuel! Instead, it's a measly 10%, and the fact that they only have to sell a minimum of 3% bio fuel in the coming few years shows how much this government actually intends to take care of the environment! In a lot of ways I hope we DON'T find more oil!! It's about the only think that will force us to be smarter. While most of Europe and Asia were flat out building trains, and efficient transport networks, our government was busy pulling them to bits!!! Its about time I think we get a REAL government, one thats got no 'parliament' and has no mamma labor or daddy national in it! Instead, we need a 'trade me' government! Where WE the people can make choices any time of the day or night! We could view all our tax returns, health records, and so on all in one handy location!! And because we wouldn't have the 'greens' we'd have a really clean environment that was ACTUALLY clean and green!
