Connie Gates is the proud grandmother of Kiwi Olympian Aaron Gates, and the Decadent Slice she'd made to give him on his return proved so popular that condensed milk was reportedly flying off the shelves all over the country.

Lachlan Forsyth went to beg for another recipe, and here it is!

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 cups of desiccated coconut
  • 2 cups of self-raising flour
  • 1 cup of sugar

Mix milk and coconut and leave to soak for one hour. 

Add self-raising flour and  sugar. 

Mix and bake at 190 degrees for 1 hour.
