Police in Santa Monica, California are offering a US$1000 reward for information that leads to the return of John Travolta’s stolen classic car.

Thieves drove off in the actor's rare Mercedes-Benz convertible while he was visiting a Jaguar dealership last Sunday, and the motor is still missing.

After an initial investigation, cops are now asking the public for help in locating the whereabouts of the 1970 classic, insisting there are only about 2,400 Mercedes-Benz convertibles from that model and year in circulation.
