The New Zealand Paralympians are returning home to a hero's welcome at Auckland Airport this morning.

Carrying on from the success of the Olympic Team, the Paralympians' achievements in London have contributed to one of New Zealand’s most successful games ever.

A crowd of 100 fans have gathered at the airport waiting for athletes to arrive.

New Zealand won 17 medals at the Games, including six gold, seven silver and four bronze medals, placing 21st on the medal table.
