Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder says Zac Guildford needs to get his "life back on track"

The message from Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder has come through loud and clear: Zac Guildford is on his last warning.

If he messes up again, he is gone.

“Zac’s had so many misconducts. In fact, I think he’s had four in the last 18 months,” says Blackadder.

And it is the Crusaders that have been hit hardest by the punishment dished out today to Guildford – suspension meaning he will miss three preseason games and the first game of Super Rugby 2012.

The suspension was handed down after a NZRU misconduct hearing into his behaviour while on holiday in Cook Islands after the Rugby World Cup.

Put the rugby aside, says Blackadder, this is about “getting his life back on track” and getting him the help he needs.

Guildford has been ordered to seek professional help at his own cost.
