It was a Round 13 match that, despite a loss, has proved to be the turning point in the Crusaders season.

After three losses on the trot, a long hard look in the mirror, and a change of tactics have worked a treat.

To start enjoying their rugby again the Crusaders decided to bin their aerial game and return to their natural approach of keeping the ball in hand.

The nail-biting overtime Round 13 loss to the Bulls hasn’t proved all bad.

If they manage to come through in Soweto on the weekend, the Crusaders will play a final in either Capetown or Sydney
