Cybele’s Nocturne collection really reflected its name, full of dark gothic styles balanced with flirty shapes and notes.
The most stand out piece was a black dress with a high structured fence-like neck which reminded me of Malificent from Snow White.
The majority of the clothes were black, but often had striking features to them.
Many of the clothes had freaky distorted animal motifs or prettier rose motifs in whites and blues.
A couple of the more formal dresses had plastic spider-web like panels on the front or over the shoulders.
The usually black skirts and dresses often had flouncy flared skirts above the knee or if they were slim-line they sat just below the knee. Almost all the dresses were worn with clear plastic chunky belts except for a couple of full length dresses.
As well as black, dresses also came in silver-grey and pale nude. Stand out styles were a shorter dress which looked like it had a built-in cape, and a long line pale pink button-down dress.
A feature of many of the outfits was high necks and roll necks. Both dresses and jumpers had this.
Many of the clothes looked like they would work for either evening or work wear. A coat and a suit in a black and white wool weave looked like great winter work wear, with the design structures producing a tent like effect on the backs.
Fabrics used by Cybele included silks, knits, net fabric and lace.
