Dani Pedrosa won the German Moto Grand Prix for the Spaniard's first victory of the season as defending world champion Casey Stoner crashed out in the final lap.

Stoner lost balance going into the final bend of the 30-lap race while chasing the Repsol Honda teammate and slid off into the gravel.

Pedrosa overtook the Australian pole sitter with 12 laps remaining and did not surrender the lead.

Jorge Lorenzo of Spain finished second on a Yamaha to take the sole lead of the season standings. Andrea Dovizioso of Italy on a Yamaha was third.
