Australian singer Dannii Minogue has no idea why she chopped her long locks into a short bob, but has compared the decision to Britney's infamous public meltdown in 2007, when she checked out of rehab and shaved her head.
She said: "Well it's not quite a Britney, but I think a lot of people will relate to this. I got to a length I finally wanted, then cut it all off and I have no idea why."
Dannii has denied she cut her hair to overshadow her fellow X Factor judge, Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole, and insists she is thrilled she decided to update her look.
She explained: "It feels so good to have it all gone."
Dannii, who claims she has stopped having Botox injections so she can get some expression back on her face when she appears on the UK TV talent show, revealed she feels "under pressure" to delay any signs of ageing.
The 37-year-old brunette beauty told Britain's Grazia magazine: "There is so much more pressure on women. If you can get older and be happier within yourself - that is the main thing."
