I actually think this organization "fastlife" does promote discrimination of an ugly kind in the dating process. They hold events for "Tall Men" and "Brown People". We should not be excluding those who were born in a certain way from love and we should not be reinforcing negative stereotypes about people. That said, I'll only listen to those women who are pissed of by the "Thin Women Dating Event" when they go to the barricades protesting the "Tall Men Event" because they are both equally bad.

This controversy will result in more business for Fast Impressions, ultimately. A good PR move. Even if it does alienate a portion of the userbase. This service runs many more niche dating events, but the news doesn't cover that.
