Former ACT Party MP David Garrett has entered a not guilty plea to a charge of drunk driving in the Waitakere District Court.

The charges stemmed from an incident on the night of July 29 when Garrett was arrested by police and found to have a blood alcohol level of 132mg alcohol per 100ml of blood.

He will appear in court again next February.

Garrett resigned from Parliament last September after it was revealed he stole the identity of a dead baby in the 1980s.
