The memory of a late friend has kept Ozzy Osbourne from boozing - the pal dropped dead at the pub while downing his last pint of beer.

The Paranoid rocker has battled alcoholism and once feared he had cirrhosis, but it's the thought of one tragic mate who keeps Osbourne sober these days.

In his medical advice column for Rolling Stone magazine, he writes, “I'll never forget what happened to this guy, Mickey, I used to know. He was told by his doctor to stop boozing, so he went straight to the pub for his last pint, took one sip, and dropped stone dead at the bar.”
