Police are following strong lines of enquiry (NZPA file)

Police are investigating the discovery of a new born baby's body in a stream on Burnside Road, Ardmore, Papakura.

Acting on information received from a member of the public, the body of a new born baby was discovered in the stream at about 9pm on Saturday.

A post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death will be carried out on Monday morning.

Police are following strong lines of enquiry.

Police will be making no further comment until after the post-mortem tomorrow.

How can somebody do that to an innocent child?? There are people out there that are trying their hardest to have their own children and yet somebody can just do something like that and not say anything to anybody or even ask for help if thats what they needed. Our children are a gift and they need to loved and cared for. Come on people wake up!!!
