I've been a bit short on spare time this past week, because I've been very busy at work with a team member struck down by chicken pox and out of action for considerable time.
At least my boss could have a laugh about the situation and tell me a pox/wedding related story (who'd have thought there could be such a thing). Apparently six months prior to his wedding, the bride-to-be came down with a very nasty case of chicken pox, and at the time he'd laughed about the potential bullet they'd dodged. Imagine it happening the week of the wedding – you couldn't photoshop those out I bet!
Note to self: bridal party to stay in isolation for month prior to big day.
But moving on to happier thoughts!
I have a couple of major decisions to make in the next couple of weeks; 1) The Dress, and 2) The Bridesmaid (yes, still procrastinating on the latter).
I'm 99% sure I'll go with a made-to-measure (white!) dress. The small dilemma is that I have to order before the end of this month to secure a great price, which wouldn't be a problem BUT (why is there always a but?!), the store is showcasing their new stock at the Wellington Wedding Show in May. Do I order now to help keep the budget on track, or do I wait until after the show in case I find The Dress in their new stock?
I hate making decisions under pressure, but you may have already guessed that!
I think I may have to do some sweet talking this week and wrangle some extra time to decide.
And the bridesmaid dilemma, ahhhh! I'll put it on my to do list for the month :)
